After a couple of years, I moved to Victoria and spent 4 years working in emergency medicine and critical care for the Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital, and now I’m happy to find myself back on the Sunshine Coast, and back at Sechelt Animal Hospital! I have a particular interest in veterinary transfusion medicine and in emergency and critical care; I helped run the Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital Animal Blood Bank, and I’m currently in the middle of pursuing veterinary technician speciality (VTS) in emergency and critical care.
I plan on putting my skills to good work for the pets of the Coast. I spend most of my time hiking, reading, watching movies, and cuddling with my creatures: my dog, Lemon, my cat, Patience, and my rat, Pvt. Alexandrat Johnson (I know, it’s weird, it’s an inside joke). I also like cooking/baking, playing games, both the board and video varieties, sewing, telling “dad jokes”, and making terrible puns (as you can tell from my rat’s name.
