From a jungle of rain-washed pines and junipers spearing the new blueness in the Florida sky, ran a little, tawny-haired boy. His bare ft, extending from his overalled legs, crackled towards the fallen palmettos. He leaped to the air, flinging his arms toward a flock of white doves circling higher than him.
The zoo will be a terrific alternative area if you need to receive animals photographs without having possessing a trip to safari in summer time. You can just take their pictures inside the harmless bench that is certainly obtainable close to the cages. To help make you achievement in getting the images of animals that you'd like, you may follow the following recommendations.
32 1619 Pleasanton RdSan Antonio, TX 78221 (210) 922-1231 I've come here off and on for years. Some staff I recognize from other vet offices. The staff here is cool. They are nice to the customers both people and pets. The prices here are really reasonable also. They help make owning a pet feasible. Easy to get to if you go south after Southcross on Pleasanton, driveway right before McDonalds. My Rascal (Canine mix) & I had a great experience here.
Of course he doesn't like shots, but the Doctor was so great at helping me comfort him. The employees were very welcoming they even gave him a cute bandana to wear. I love to see individuals with a passion to help our furry family members. In conclusion to all this, the prices are great I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a vet! It was our first visit here & we will continue to go back for check ups, vaccinations, & other pup needs.
However, the only concern I had was that I had misplaced my papers for my baby. So, considering it was his first time here, I asked them if they needed to scan him for his microchip; I thought it would be protocol. They said it was no big deal and proceeded with his screening. I just worry if my baby had been taken here by someone else. I mean yes he'd be getting taken care of, but he's my baby. Hopefully this will change, because I loved everything else about this place.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! They are rude and inconsiderate. They treated my animals bad and couldn't help my dog when she needed it. They screwed me over so bad. I take my dogs here for their shots and if they are sick. The doctors exam fee is low and the rates are good. It is a walk in basis, so be ready to wait in line possibly. I am a first time pet owner and I'm learning as I go. My friend recommended me to Alamo.
Although I live 16 miles away, about 25 mins I don't mind. So far I've been very satisfied with our visits. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Love the doctor! They answer all my questions patiently. And also advice me with prices. I'm looking forward to bring my baby for his first time boarding I feel confident and safe to bring him to Alamo. I usually take my dog to VCA Animal hospital but they were too busy to take any walk-ins due to their low cost vaccination clinic being held that day.
I called around and Alamo Cats & Dogs Hospital was one of the few nearby places the could see my sick little fur baby. We waited about 45 minutes to an hour before being seen. The vet was very friendly and thorough. He didn't try to get us to pay for any unnecessary procedures like other places do. He gave me some antibiotics for my little one and then we were off on our way. My little one was feeling better shortly after her second dose of meds.
I was very satisfied with the care that we received. I also appreciate the fact that this visit didn't break the bank. The cost of this visit was very reasonable. I've been to plenty of veterinarian offices around San Antonio and this one is by far Olivia's FAVORITE. The staff is very loving and welcoming to all patients. Though my dog is the size of an average person, the vet is as gentle with her as he would be with a new born kitten.
I highly recommend Alamo Dog and Cat hospital. Took my pet Jax here for vaccination, nail trim as well as a month of Nexgard. It only costed me around $55 dollars. I love this place as they are very nice and friendly. We took our other dog here for surgery and they were excellent! Alamo will now be Jax's primary vet! I have been coming here for years now. I have tried other vets since moving out of the south side but I always come back.
... I rather do the 25 min drive to brings my pets here, even if it's just for flea meds. Staff is really nice. It gets really busy sometimes but they try their best to assist you promptly. They never over charge me and take good care of my babies. After reading the reviews I decided to give Alamo Dog & Cat Hospital a try. My former vet seemed more concerned with profits, than providing quality care to animals.
I appreciated all of the attention given to us. The staff was absolutely wonderful. And the bill was not padded with unwarranted costs. I think I have officially found my new vet. Glad they are open on Sunday with walk ins welcome, my dog had a fever of 103 (normal is 101-102) they wanted to do blood work on him but I declined because my dog is only 4 years old and very healthy otherwise. I told them let me just do the antibiotics they prescribed me for him and take things from there.
I turned down the 200.00 blood work the vet tech and the doctor both looked at me as if I was crazy for turning down the blood work, their weird stares toward me didn't phase me I just thought it was rude of them to look at me that way. I know my dog, no 200.00 worth of blood test were necessary for this visit, remember these people are in the business of making money. 5 days later my 4 year old dog is doing fine with only his amoxil that they gave him.
84.00 later we both are fine. Listen to your gut, don't let the vet techs or doctors bully you into something you feel your dog does not need. Would not recommend going to this vet for anything other than preventative care. Waited over an hour to see my extremely sick dog, they didn't listen to anything I told them- they just did a parvo and parasite test and sent us home with antibiotics. A few hours later she was getting worse and I waited four hours for the vet she saw to call me back.
By the time they got to me I had already taken her to vca animal hospital and was admitting her. She had surgery within 24 hours, thank god I went somewhere else- not sure she would have survived if I waited around for Alamo. I just want people who need urgent care for their animal to see this. There's upsides and downsides to this place! The good thing is that, because they take walk ins, I could take the stray cat on my porch and been seen that same day! The downside was that.
.. Because they only take walk ins, you'll be waiting for a whiiiile. I went on Saturday, so it was predictably busy and I waited for maybe an hour and a half to get seen. Because the poor kitty was microchipped (probably abandoned.,, he's my cat now) the guy told me I had to call and that they couldn't do anything right then because he was somebody else's pet. Which is fair... But i called in the parking lot, found out the owners had no good information on file in like two minutes and was too tired to go back in to wait another hour and a half.
Kitty check up will just have to wait I guess! This is absolutely the very best animal care clinic in San Antonio and surrounding areas. We have just moved over 40 miles away from here, and will drive any distance to receive the hospitality, detailed care, love, personal attention, and respect I switched to Alamo Dog & Cat Hospital because of the terrible experience I had at VCA Mission Animal Hospital.
The only reason I am not giving Alamo five stars is because the wait time is very long. They only take appts for surgery, grooming and a few other things. Otherwise, they are first come, first served. The staff is exceptional. Kind, considerate and knowledgeable handlers and front-office. The biggest reason I am impressed is the improvement my dogs got from the veterinarian we see. She knows what she is talking about, encourages me to do what is financially reasonable for me for my dog with diabetes, but does not push.
And both my dogs love her! I am very happy since I switched to Alamo, so are my babies! The staff was amazing. I found a stray kitty in my backyard and wanted to make sure it was safe to have him indoors with my other cat. I got blood tests back writhing 20mins, shots, and a kitty package all for $100! And everyone was great! I would recommend this place! Oh and they have walk- ins on Sunday which was amazing given this surprise situation! This is a very nice Veterinary Hospital.
The Vet Techs are very nice and helpful. the lobby is very clean and organized. They have TVs while you wait and of course animal planet. The Facility is first come first serve basis. i would recommend getting there early and even during the week. I walked in after 4pm and there were 4 other people waiting then an emergency walked in. My phone shutoff while I was there and I had to leave because I'm "on-Call" with my grandmother.
I told the Vet Tech /receptionist that would be back the following day. She said OK. i returned the following day and they remembered why i come in. There were 2 other clients waiting and my dog was seen in 30 minutes. The Veterinarian was really nice and had good recommendations on how to deal with my dogs allergies. He didn't rush us and took his time. I'm very happy i found a great place to take my sweetie.
This place is great. I take both my dogs here and they are always treated great. Place is very clean and staff is great. I also brought my cat here he had been poisoned and they kept him there a couple a days and my cat is alive happy and doing very well. This is a superb spot to bring your ailing pet - here's why: Space: This is a clean, amply spaced spot. The vet's rooms are just right, although the waiting room did get 100% full when I was there.
Service: The staff is very professional and extremely helpful. They were patient with my bustling, energetic puppy, and the veterinarian was a great guide for puppies 101 Price: For a doc check up, bordatella, and heart worm medication, I paid $71. That seems pretty fair. Caveat: you know when you're that smart person who arrives 10min before they open to get in with no wait? Well, everyone does that here, so 10am on a Sunday was a 30min wait.
This review is long overdue. We have been going to Alamo Dog and Cat Hospital for seven years, and there is no way I would go anywhere else. Since the first day, they have all been so helpful, with wonderful customer service. When we have been through tragedy, they have been so compassionate. There have been a few "close calls" over the years that, if we didn't have this vet (Dr. D) I think the results would not have turned out as well as they did.
If I could give more stronger recommendation for someone looking for a vet and staff who really CARES, I would. If you decide on this establishment, you'll be very glad you did!
