There are a variety of services that Animal Control provides for the Shawnee community, rescuing sick or inured animals, controlling stray animals and responding to dangerous animals roaming at large, removing dead animals, licensing, along with investigating animal cruelty and abuse, complaints of animal noise, unsanitary conditions and abandonment. One of the most important aspects of Animal Control is responding to dog bites.
