Cats: Dogs: TN Monroe County Animal Shelteris the official Facebook page for the Monroe County Animal Shelter Pet of the Week:Pip Meet Pip, Monroe County Friends of Animals Pet of the Week!Pip is a white/black female Domestic Shorthair/Mix cat. Her story is like all too many of the animals who come to Monroe County Animal Shelter; she is orphaned.
At the age of ten, Pip’s dad passed away and there was no one to permanently care for her. After living a safe secure life this poor baby suddenly found herself in jeopardy and because of her age and dental concerns there was a chance no one would adopt her, and her days would end at the shelter.MCFA Second Chance Pals came to the rescue. A loving volunteer is fostering Pip, and her dental problems are resolved.
Pip tests negative for feL/FIV, and was spayed as a kitten. Her foster reports Pip is “A great, loveable, affectionate lap-cat. She is what's known as a "flopper." She will head your way when you sit down and then just flop down on her side so you can pet, scratch and brush her! As long as she knows where her food, water, hands to pet her and litter box are, she should adjust very quickly to a new home.
”This loving cat who is used to being around people Is ready to move onto the next chapter of her life with a new owner. She is available for immediate adoption. If you are interested in adopting her, please contact the Monroe County Animal Shelter and Pip’s foster mom will contact you to arrange a "meet and greet." (Shelter Hours are: T-F 11am-4:30pm and Sat. 11am-2pm 423-442-1015) OR contact the foster direct via email at 1catnut@gmail.
She has gained weight (healthy level) from eating Blue Buffalo dog food and Greenies. She sleeps at the bottom of our bed on a warm fluffy down comforter at night and during the day has her pick of any chair or couch. We think she has had some training at some point. Molly will not leave the house until given permission. She obediently does her business in rough areas on our property and scurries quickly back, returning to her warm home.
Our collie Jackson Brownie and her play together in the yard, but she usually controls the pace with her "tude". One more funny personality trait of Molly is how she "spanks" her tail on the floor when you look at her and call her name. If you love animals & like to write and want to help save the lives of cats, we have the job for you. We are looking someone to write one or two Pet of The Week articles a month for Monroe County Friends of Animals.
The articles are only 350 or so words long and you will have plenty of cats to select from. Monroe County Animal Shelter MUST TAKE all animals that are turned in. That means if Monroe County Friends of Animals doesn't find homes for these cats they may be euthanized because the county doesn't have the resources to house and feed an unlimited number of cats. So if this job sounds like the right job for you, contact keith@maxapooch.
com. Your writing skills can help beautiful animals like the ones shown above find a purrfect human. You could choose their pics while in the secure bench that is accessible in close proximity to the cages. Away from a jungle of rain-washed pines and junipers spearing the new blueness on the Florida sky, ran a little, tawny-haired boy.
