Her passions are in animal behavior and soft tissue surgery; although she enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine. She has worked with several organizations providing veterinary care to underprivileged communities and hopes to continue this work in the future. She is a very happy, dedicated person, and has been a receptionist here since 1997. She has a wonderful husband since 1996 and together they have a beautiful daughter. She left us after deciding to pursue other options and returned to us in 2010. After being gone she realized how much that she missed veterinary medicine and the clients, she has returned to fulfill her love for animals. She has two dogs, Patches (Shih Tzu) and Nala (American bulldog mix). She loves spending time with her family and playing softball. Melissa Wilson, LVMT Lead TechnicianLicensed Veterinary Medical TechnicianMelissa grew up in Knoxville, TN and has lived in the area her entire life.
She attended Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN to study Elementary Education. While in school, Melissa began working at a small animal hospital in Murfreesboro, TN as a veterinary assistant. During this experience she quickly discovered a passion for working with animals. After 3 years Melissa moved home to Knoxville to work for the University of TN College of Veterinary Medicine to continue her desire to work with animals while gaining a broader spectrum of knowledge and patient care.
It was while at UTCVM she decided to further her education and become licensed as a veterinary technician. Melissa attended St. Petersburg College and obtained an A.S. in Veterinary Technology and was in Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. Outside of veterinary medicine she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the movies, reading a great book, spending time with friends and enjoying life.
Kelly Lambert, LVMT Licensed Veterinary Medical TechnicianKelly lives in Englewood, TN. She studied at Cleveland State Community College for two years and transferred to Lincoln Memorial University, where she graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology. She has dreamed of being in the veterinary field since she was 5 years old. She currently is married with two fur babies, Bell and Daisy.
In the summer, she enjoys camping, swimming, and riding her motorcycle. In the fall, she loves to sit around a fire and eat home-made chili with family and friends. Jenna Taylor, LVMT Licensed Veterinary Medical TechnicianJenna grew up in south New Hampshire and her love for horses drove her to work with animals and veterinary medicine. She received her bachelor’s in Biology and Spanish at St. Lawrence University hoping to go on to vet school.
After a year of working in a research lab, she decided to pursue a career as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She received her Associate degree from Colorado Mountain College as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Jenna followed her then boyfriend to Knoxville while he pursues his PhD in Nuclear Physics at UT. Jenna and Steve recently married in May 2015 and are enjoying their newlywed life with the former clinic cat, Fluffy.
Outside of work, Jenna enjoys crafting, spending time outdoors, and traveling. Cat Perry Veterinary AssistantKennel ManagerCat has lived in Blount County for several years, and has been working at this hospital since 2004. She began as a kennel technician, and is now kennel manager as well as a veterinary assistant. She loves working with animals and is very dedicated to her job here at MSAMC. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, arts/crafts, doing anything outdoors, and spending time with her family.
She has two beautiful twin daughters who usually keep her busy playing games, shopping, and going on all sorts of adventures together. She has a dog named Darla, 3 cats, and a guinea pig named Kevin James. Jessica Wilson Veterinary Assistant Jessica has been a resident of Blount County for most of her life. She began working here in the spring of 2011 as a receptionist and now works as a veterinary assistant.
She is a very dependable and hardworking individual. She is married with two children. They have a family cat, dog, fish, and mouse. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, swimming, and scuba diving. Kathleen O’Mary Veterinary Assistant Kathleen grew up in Louisville, TN and currently lives in Maryville. As a child, her goal was to always have a career working with animals.
Growing up she has several pets ranging from pocket pets to horses. It was her love and passion for animals which led her to complete her Associate’s Degree in Animal Science from Hiwassee College. She currently cares for her horses, dogs, cats, birds, and young daughter. Most of her time is spent caring for her beautiful daughter who also has a love for animals and enjoys helping with their care.
When she does have spare time, she enjoys riding her horses, camping, fishing, kayaking, and activities with family, and family summer vacations. Her dream is to own a small farm at the foot of the Great Smoky Mountains and maybe someday further her career in animal science. Jason Wolfe Veterinary AssistantJason grew up in a military family. He lived in North Carolina and Southern California before his Father retired and brought their family to Sevierville, Tennessee.
Jason resided in Sevierville until he moved across the state for college. He attended the University of Tennessee at Martin where he attained a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture concentrating in Animal Science in December of 2014. Jason then returned to East Tennessee to pursue a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree at the University of Tennessee where he will graduate in 2019. He is interested in learning more about Surgery, ophthalmology, and neurology and is not sure what sector of veterinary medicine he will work in once he has completed his DVM.
Jason recently married his college sweetheart Jessica. They currently live in Louisville, Tennessee with their dog Roxy. In their spare time Jason and Jessica love to watch movies, cook out with family and friends, go on walks with Roxy and travel. She has worked primarily with horses, but always had a desire to work with small animals.

Sarah Bryant Kennel Technician Sarah is from Louisville, TN. She joined out team in June of 2013 as a kennel assistant, and is now training as a veterinary assistant/receptionist. Sarah has always had a love for animals, but is currently attending Pellissippi State and applying for nursing school to pursue her dream of caring for other people.

She has been at MSAMC longer than any other employee and has been a steady part of the family since 1988.
