Away from a jungle of rain-washed pines and junipers spearing the hot blueness with the Florida sky, ran a little, tawny-haired boy. His bare ft, extending from his overalled legs, crackled versus the fallen palmettos. He leaped into your air, flinging his arms towards a flock of white doves circling previously mentioned him.
10 4090 NE Highway 101Lincoln City, OR 97367 (541) 994-8181 Great first experience with this clinic! Had an "emergency" (dog ate grapes) on a Sunday, thankfully they were open. They took my dog straight back, made her vomit and we were in and outta there in 20 minutes and less than $100.00. Clinic is beautiful, clean and everyone was wonderful and professional. Total rip off! We got a new kitten who had fleas and conjunctivitis of the eye so we took her to this vet.
They gave her an eye gel, penicillin and supposedly treated her for fleas. The eye gel didn't work, it just irritated her eye more. The flea treatment didn't work either. Although we kept her quarantined from our other for 4 days, plenty enough time for the flea treatment and other meds to start working our other cat got the eye cold and fleas. We then took both cats back in, they told us to use the eye gel on both cats and gave us an immune booster?? We bought more flea meds from somewhere else but by then our house was infested and had to spend $150 to clean it out.
We called the vet to explain to them the situation and see what they were willing to do; we had to call back 3 times to get them to call us back. They told us to come back to have tests run....and spend more money. We'd already spent $350+. We will not be taking our animals back here. I have 4 pomeranian dogs...as you may know they are little but hairy...lol...Deborah groomed my adult male dog beautifully and it is growing out nicely.
..I took my female adult and two 6 month old pups there today for nail clippings...she was very sweet to the puppies as it was their first time they loved her...I will be using her services from now on... she is now our family groomer and I would recommend her to anyone if they want someone that is invested in doing a good job and she loves the animals and they sense it...great job Deborah! The vets and staff at Lincoln City Animal Clinic are terrific.
Caring, gentle, and knowledgeable, they've seen our 2 Wheaten terriers from puppyhood to extreme old age, dealing successfully with all their quirks. We relied on Dr. Emerson and Dr. Hoffman for years, but when retirement came, were happy to see a smooth transition to Dr. Murphy, so gentle and compassionate. Sally and Deb are always ready with a smile or reassurance and now, with the addition of Dr.
Brooks over the weekend, we really feel like the Clinic can cover any contingency. Unfortunately my husband and I were on a trip in our trailer going down the coast of Oregon. Our 13 1/2 yo Golden Retriever got really ill. She was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma cancer about 7 months prior. We decided that maybe it was time to let her go. She was really struggling and not doing well. The RV park had the name of this clinic on their list and it had good reviews so we made an appointment to put her down.
We saw Dr. Emerson and he made us feel better about our decision, he loves Goldens and has a 14 yo one. He had us talk to her and give her treats till she fell asleep and we know she fell asleep happy. They gave us the number of the cremation place we talked to them and they cremated her within a day so we could get her ashes before we left. So appreciated. We went to the vet to get them and the vet tech had her paw print in clay for us.
Such a thoughtful thing to do and we will cherish it forever. They were just wonderful and compassionate. They also sent us a card. I highly recommend. I was very impressed with their staff and their facility. Being new to town it is difficult to know where to go but I read the reviews and took my 11 yr old cat here. I am so glad i did. They got me in within 2 hrs of calling. I am very impressed.
It's not hard to find a vet who loves animals -- it's usually a strong vocational pull that puts the right folks into this kind of work. A compulsion of empathy. What is unusual is to find a vet's office full of such professionalism. These people run a beautiful facility where well loved and good/loving animals are treated with the care they deserve. The building is comfortably roomy -- several exam rooms, a surgery, a waiting room (with an easy-to-keep-clean floor) that has a compartmentalized feel so that animals who might not want company can wait without having to mingle.
--And a nice cozy fire as antidote to the chilly sea breezes and coastal mountains outside the door. This is a bright, fresh, clean, and well managed clinic. And I really liked all the pet and animal themed art on the walls -- this really is a place where the staff and the clients all love the non-humans. Every animal brought in while we were waiting to get the little dog's vaccines and paperwork up-to-date was given appropriate attention and there was good communication between staff members about returning clients.
Our little while dog was never made anxious or nervous -- and that's no mean feat. Prices are reasonable/average. They do surgery every morning, and see animals by appointment M-F afternoons, and Saturday mornings. We stopped by without an appointment, and they worked us in as the first visit after morning surgeries with less than a 10 minute wait. It really isn't hard to find a vet who is interested in helping -- but this place goes the extra mile and provides competence on a par with the best clinics I've ever been to.
Well done. We are full time RVers so when a pet gets sick on the road, it is real hit and miss when it comes to finding a good vet! We were staying just north of Lincoln City when our 11 year old Golden Retriever, Karma started having problems and stopped eating and drinking. After reading the other reviews here about how Dr. John is a Golden Retriever owner himself, we decided to call. The clinic staff were all super nice and they worked us into their schedule, not just the same day but within an hour and a half of when we called.
Dr. John was everything the other reviews say and I felt comfortable with him right away. The clinic has an in-house lab so the blood work and urine test results were available within about 15 minutes. Unfortunately for us, Karma is going to need to be seen by a specialist but that conclusion was based on the facts we determined from the test results, not guesswork. If we lived locally, this vet would be our full time vet! :) All four vets are the most caring and knowledgeable vets we have ever experienced.
We unfortunately had to have our cat euthanized today and Dr Murphy could not have been more caring not only for our cat but also for us. Thank you Dr Murphy and the entire staff of the clinic. We shall be getting another cat after the first of the year and all care will be given by Lincoln City Animal Clinic. Thank you all! Dr. Murphy and the entire team at Lincoln City Animal Clinic is truly devoted to the care and health of your furry family members.
They are compassionate, thorough, positive and act quickly to find the best possible solution to help your pet feel better. My husband and I live in Portland and we won't go anywhere else! Thank you all so very much!!
