Responsibilities and ServicesThe IOWSO Animal Services Division responds to calls regarding stray and injured animals. We also handle calls regarding livestock. We operate a shelter where dogs, cats and other companion animals are available for adoption. The animal shelter is located at 13044 Poor House Road, just off Route 258 near the Courthouse Complex. Operating hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.

Isle Of Wight County Animal Shelter added 12 new photos to the album: River, Ranger and Remi. · Yesterday at 9:10am · PUPPIES! We have three puppies that are currently available for adoption. These are mixed breed puppies around 2 months of age. They will come with their first vaccines, and dewormer and adopters will be required to sign a contract for the spay/neuter and rabies vaccines to be done at a later determined date by staff.
The Adoption fee is $90.00 THESE ARE PUPPIES!! They are all cute and friendly and act just like a determined puppy will. They chew, nip and enjoy playing as a...ll puppies do. They are NOT housebroken and will require a home that is willing to go through all the steps to acclimate them into their home. Due to previous issues during our standard adoption process, OUR ADOPTION PROCESS FOR PUPPIES WILL BE AS FOLLOWS: * First Round of Applications will be received Jan 23- Jan 28th.
All applicants MUST reside in Isle of Wight County OR bordering our county: Southhampton, Newport News, Suffolk, Franklin and Surry. (This is set in place by a state regulation for any unaltered animals) Any other localities will not be accepted. All the applications will be reviewed by staff on the 29th when the shelter is closed. You may email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or fax (757-365-0440) applications as well.
(Any applications received after the 28th will be saved for a second round if process extends that far) Approved applications will be notified the 29th and 30th. Approved applicants will be required to scheduled with staff a time to meet and socalize further with the puppy. This will need to be completed no later than Feb. 5. Puppies will be released to their approved families no earlier than Feb 6 2018.
