Our mission is to rescue abandoned animals, spay, neuter and provide medical care, and then put them with foster homes until we get them adopted into the loving homes that they need and deserve! Douglas County currently contracts the animal shelter to Saving Grace Animal Shelter. Our contract guarantees that the citizens of our county can take stray dogs and cats to the shelter without any fee. A small donation is appreciated to help defray shelter costs, but it is not required. For owner release animals, Saving Grace charges a nominal fee.
