Message from County Manager Lee Smith Welcome to Chatham County's home page. Our web site is an opportunity for citizens living in our county and around the world to read the latest news about Chatham County, Georgia, and its government. Our web site offers information about our history, mission, services and job opportunities and it will continue to grow, so I invite you to return often. Chatham County and all of its municipalities including Savannah offer a rich history, a great way of life, and remain one of the nation’s favorite tourist destinations.
Chatham County is balancing the challenges of population growth and demands for services such as health services, public safety, etc., with careful allocation of revenues to meet public service needs. The county does so on an annual basis; however, we are shifting our focus to planning beyond 20 years. At the request of the County Commissioners, we have begun the development of a 20 Year Strategic plan to cover all aspects of our community to better serve the needs of our citizens for many years to come.
A major administrative initiative is the Managing for Results and Zero Based Budgeting. This requires measurable outcomes for every major function of the county. This includes a spectrum of efficiency measures, customer satisfaction surveys, benchmarks, use of best practices, emphasis on continuous innovation while developing a “justified needs based” budget. Bottom line, we believe in excellence.
Our definition of excellence is delivering full value to the taxpayer and citizen for every dollar spent.Lastly, Chatham County endorses the “TEAM” concept within our organization and encourages you as citizens and businesses to participate with “TEAM CHATHAM” to produce a beautiful, self-sustaining community today and in the future!See Also: Lee County Domestic Animal Services
The zoo might be a great different area if you need to acquire animals shots with out getting a trip to safari in summer season. You may choose their pictures during the secure bench which is readily available close to the cages. To make you results in taking the photographs of animals you want, you may stick to the following tips.
Outside of a jungle of rain-washed pines and junipers spearing the new blueness on the Florida sky, ran a small, tawny-haired boy. His bare feet, extending from his overalled legs, crackled from the fallen palmettos. He leaped into the air, flinging his arms towards a flock of white doves circling earlier mentioned him.
