Meredith Dunki: Veterinarian and Owner Meredith graduated from the Western College of Veterinary medicine in 2003. After graduation she moved home to Calgary with her husband Brad. Meredith joined the clinic as a veterinarian and owner that spring. When not at the clinic, Meredith spends her time running around after her young son Lachlan or walking her dog Daisy (Golden Retriever, 5 years old). Her newest best friend is a diabetic cat she adopted from the clinic (Smoothie, 9 years old).
Stephanie Hayward: Veterinarian Bio and picture to follow! Diane Morgan: Receptionist and Office Manager Diane has been a receptionist at the clinic for almost 10 years. She has a diploma from SAIT in Business and has done courses from Guelph University via Old College in animal husbandry. She currently lives in Cochrane with her husband with former clinic cat “Ally” and their latest addition, a polydactyl tortie named “Paddy”.
Once a week she takes food donations to the Cochrane Humane Society were they are distributed to the Morley Reserve to feed cats and dogs there. She prides herself on the close relationships she has developed with the patients and clients at the clinic. Jessica Huestis: Registered Veterinary Technologist Jessica moved to Alberta from Fredericton, NB in 2003 to attend school to become an animal health technician.
Upon graduation in 2005 she moved to Calgary and began working at Silver Springs Animal Hospital. When she’s not working at SSAH, she can be found working as an ER technician at WVSEC, relaxing with her cats (Ivan, Ivy and Emily) or enjoying some live music. Kelsey Sharifzadeh-Najafi: Registered Veterinary Technologist Kelsey has worked at the clinic since April 2006 first as a veterinary assistant and then as an animal health technologist.
Over the years she has really enjoyed getting to know all the clients and their pets. As a veterinary technician, she has a passion for patient care and animal comfort. Her passion lies in physical rehabilitation for pets and enjoys learning new ways to keep her aging mutt Kovu comfortable and then transferring this knowledge to patients in her care. When not at the clinic she is busy chasing around her active toddler Izaac or taking him and the dogs, Kovu and Cedar, for long walks.
When everyone is exhausted from the day, she enjoys a good cuddle with her two cats Ziggy and Sassy or catching up with a good book. Tamra Rout: Registered Veterinary Technologist Born in Calgary, Tamra has always had a love for animals. Working in the veterinary industry since 2005, she graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Olds College in 2011. Tamra has worked with exotic, large and small animals in both primary practice and emergency settings, giving her valuable knowledge and experiences.
With a special passion for dentistry and anesthesia, she can’t imagine herself with any other career. The only thing Tamra loves more than her job as a veterinary technologist is her family. Her spare time is almost always spent with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys music, movies, gardening, snowboarding, yoga and reading. At home Tamra has a french bulldog (Sir Spudwick VonHammer aka. “Spud”), 3 cats (Layla, Haru and Chili), a chinchilla (Yori) a ball python (Loki) and a number of fish.

Sheila Rambousek: Lab Technician and Veterinary Assistant Sheila brings her distemper-survivor rescue dog to work daily. She routinely runs into clients on her 8-mile morning walk to work and at noon in the birthplace forest or on Nose Hill. She is actively involved with the Alberta spay/neuter task force, where volunteers travel to aboriginal reserves to provide health care, vaccines and surgery to pets and feral animals.
At work she especially enjoys the lab work and meeting clients and their pets. In her spare time, she hikes, snowshoes and walks even more! Sometimes she even sits in her garden to smell the roses Ashley Hart: Veterinary Assistant Ashley is one of the few born and raised Calgarians. She started at the clinic in 2010 and has enjoyed helping with all the animals and clinic up keep. She completed her Animal Behavior College certificate in 2010 and has an interest in training and behavior modification.
She enjoys helping clients with their dog problems and does some private training on the side. Ashley and her husband have 2 animals in the house – a 6 year old Pug/Boston Terrier named “Kali” and a 7 year old West Highland Terrier named “Broc.” On her free time she enjoys weight training and volunteering with PALS (Pet Access League Society) at the Children’s Hospital with Kali. Kelly Mac Leod: Veterinarian (On Maternity Leave) Kelly grew up in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
She completed her HBSc at the University of Prince Edward Island in 2007, and graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 2011. She practiced in a small animal clinic in Toronto after graduating. Kelly recently moved to Calgary with her husband Steve, her dog Dakota and her cat Onyx.
