More To clarify there are many people who capture or buy wild animals and try to keep them only to learn later that they have a wild animal on their hands and they are incapable of caring for it.
When this happens there is a network of rehabilitation centers in the USA that get invitations to host these animals so they do not have to be euthanized. Wildlife Images is part of that rehabilitation network. By being part of the network they are able to not only help some of the individual animals but also maintain a balanced environment at their sanctuary. To put this into perspective there have been so many baby lions that were raised in private zoos and imprinted by humans that it is nearly impossible to save them all.
At best the network can save some. We are fortunate that Wildlife Images takes part in the network. What they are doing is legal, compassionate, and educational.See Also: All Friends Animal Hospital
